How To Clean Make Up Brushes

(It is so important to regularly clean your make up brushes. The build up of bacteria can lead to breakouts, decreased life for the brush and problematic makeup application.)

You'll need
Shampoo
Conditioner
Towel

Start by gently rinsing each brush under running water.

Wet the palm of your hand and squeeze a bit of shampoo into the centre.
Swirl the brush around until the shampoo becomes foamy. Then rinse.
(Depending on how dirty the brush is you may need to repeat this step again)

For scratchy bristled brushes, or if you just want the bristles to remain soft, rinse all shampoo out and then repeat the process using conditioner.

Gently swirl your brushes on a towel to dry them off and adjust them to regain their desired shape.

Roll up one end of the towel and lean the brushes handle up to remain drying.

It is important not to get the handle wet when washing, as any water getting under the metal can cause the glue to perish and your brush to shed. (This is why we dry them handle up)

Hope this easy cleaning routine comes in handy! I recommend washing your brushes about every fortnight.
